EIGHT is showcase of work by the eight artists and designers participating in the Design Initiative managed, Setting Up Scheme.

This diverse exhibition includes a selection of recent work and projects developed by the creative’s during their first year on the scheme and provides a unique insight into their practices as they enter their second year as Artists in Residence at different universities, colleges and organisations across the North West.

EIGHT is part of Make Me which is taking place in Manchester and Preston city centres, from November 22nd – December 24th.

* The Setting Up Scheme offers support to artists and designers who want to establish their business within Greater Manchester. The scheme includes two years rent free studio space plus a comprehensive business development programme together with financial and day-to-day support. The Scheme has been running for 13 years and has supported 109 artists through 56 Host Organisations.
